What is cosmetic acupuncture?
Cosmetic acupuncture for facial rejuvenation, also known as facial acupuncture or acupuncture facelift, is a non-invasive and holistic approach to enhance the appearance of the face. This traditional Chinese medicine technique involves the insertion of fine needles into specific acupuncture points on the face, aiming to stimulate blood flow, promote collagen production, and balance the body's energy (Qi). Nano needling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a cosmetic procedure that involves the use of a device with fine needles to create tiny, controlled punctures or micro-injuries on the skin's surface. The purpose of Nano needling is to stimulate the body's natural healing response, leading to increased collagen and elastin production. Nano needling is beneficial for hair growth, scar reduction, and various skin concerns due to its ability to stimulate collagen production and enhance skin regeneration.

Nano needling:

Nano needling is performed using a microneedling pen - however unlike microneedling, the usual needle cartridge is swapped out for a nano needling cartridge.  Nano needling cartridges are silicone tipped and are gentler on the skin. This is because nano needling only penetrates the skin to a 0.25mm depth and is designed to exfoliate the skin and stimulate cell turnover, rather than to penetrate deep into the dermis as microneedling does. When the silicone tipped pins gently touch the skin, they create thousands of nano channels, which allow your skincare products to penetrate deeper and have a greater effect on the skin. Within 15 minutes after nano needling, the nano channels close themselves. Nano needling is gentle and safe, but very effective.  Nano needling and micro needling both treat similar skincare concerns and both use a skin needling pen to create microchannels in the skin. This then triggers the skin’s natural healing process - the skin produces more collagen and elastin to ‘heal’ the micro injuries, which results in improved skin health and a reduction to the visible signs of ageing.

Nano needling is a gentler process than microneedling and can be preformed more often. There is no downtime or pain associated with nano needling, and it does not need to be performed with numbing cream. As absorption is massively increased we use hyaluronic acid as part of this treatment to obtain maximum results. This treatment also includes a tonifying acupuncture treatment and takes approximately 40 minutes. As an add on treatment, this also includes red light therapy which aids in cellular regeneration.
